Copper Companion Bangle

I called this a companion bangle, because it is perfect to wear stacked with any of the other bangles. The handmade wire coiled bead in the front is called a Kuchi bead. It was originally taught by the famous wire artist Lynn Merchant, who was inspired by her many trips to Afghanistan where she learned ancient techniques of wireworking from master artisans. My teacher was a student of hers, and these ancient techniques have been passed down to myself and others - so that they may continue to be passed on to the next generation of wire artists.
Accented by high-fire ceramic beads covered in pure copper from Greece. This bangle looks heavy but, thanks to the ceramic beads, it surprisingly lightweight, and a pleasure to wear. This bangle can be custom fit to your wrist. Please supply the exact measurement of your wrist at the wrist bone when ordering.
